Our Mission

What we do

To deliver top-tier dog sport competitions that reward versatility and skill, celebrate the bond between dogs and handlers, and uphold sportsmanship and training excellence.

Our Vision

Where we're going

To be known as the premier sanctioning body for multi-discipline dog sports — featuring the best canine athletes competing for meaningful prize money, prestigious buckles, and championship titles — while elevating training standards, celebrating the human-canine bond, and building a clear professional pathway from rookie to pro.

What we stand for

Our Values

  • Integrity

We honor the traditions of fair competition and the bond between handler and dog. Every decision, rule interpretation, and interaction is honest, transparent, and respectful.

  • Versatility

We celebrate the specialist and the complete canine athlete alike. Chase a championship in your favorite sport or pursue the ultimate title — Best All Around Dog — across multiple disciplines. Both are recognized and rewarded.

  • Sportsmanship

We foster a culture of respect, fair play, and mutual support. Competitors, judges, and organizers treat one another — and the dogs — to the standard expected at the highest levels of competition.

  • Excellence

We hold high standards in rules, judging, event quality, and animal care — and keep raising them, so every BAD event reflects the best of what dog sports can be.

Who we are

Built by dog sport people

Bad Dog Sports was founded by enthusiasts who believe in unlocking what canine athletes can really do. We run three sports — Dock Jumping, Shed Hunting, and Disc — and host events that bring dogs and handlers together to compete, learn, and swap notes at the water's edge.

The competition matters, but so does everything around it. We're building a community where a first-season rookie and a seasoned pro get the same welcome, and where your voice counts as much as your dog's performance.
